Modern Art is the term used for the paintings from the nineteenth century, more appropriately from 1970s, which can be called as era before the contemporary age. It involves experimentation with the art with new perception and style and helps to project materials more realistically. Modern art is referred to as non art by people who are resistant to new ideas and thought and are not willing to change. It took some time for everybody to accept Modern Art but now it is finally a part of our artworks.

It was actually the movements like Fauvism, Futurism, Cubism and Impressionism that helped people to accept the Modern Art and its style. Modern art was actually introduced by European artists through a show called Armory Show in the United States during World War I.

Today you can see such kind of paintings in many galleries and exhibitions. People have accepted this form of art with open hands. There are two museums that are famous for Modern art descriptions. One is Museum of Modern Art in New York and other is Museum of Orsay in Paris. All those who are fond of this style must visit these museums and see some beautiful art pieces.
